Here you will find, laid out for your edification, all the historical facts you need to know.   The history, as recorded in the Harp rulebook is mostly accurate.  Some information, however, is inaccurate or misleading.

Anonymous

One organization missing from the list is Anonymous.  Originally formed in the early 21st century, Anonymous grew into large, secret organization before they “went public”.  In fact, what they did was have a small part of their organization become the public face of the group with many layers inserted between them and the actual activists.

A virus they created is so potent and so difficult to remove that it lead to the illegalization of Artificial Intelligences.  Any AI that interfaces with a computer system has a very good chance of becoming infected and going “insane”.

Any coder that has the skills is typically recruited while they are young into the organization.
